Too much email, so little time?

Have you ever wondered why the more on top of your email you are, the more behind you get in your actual work? Well, you are not alone.
When I go to the office, there are a few morning rituals that I do before I call the day “started.” Set up my laptop (of course), get the mornin’ brew from the coffee machine, send out a few tweets and catch up on my email.
Now, just like the rest of you, I get TONS of email. Also like the rest of you, I leave Outlook and Gmail open all day while I work. WRONG. There is no way we can concentrate fully on what we are doing if we are constantly staring at the outlook new mail popup every 3 minutes.
Suggestion: Close all of your email clients and schedule them throughout your day just like any other task. You will get so much more done!
