Back in college, we helped alot of our friends with their resumes, interviews and broader career advice. We continued that mentorship through our jobs and into the companies we work for now. We enjoy helping others succeed in their careers to enrich their lives as a whole!

Meet Cassie Freidman
Cassie Friedman is one of the 12.5% of Californians out of work. She studied sociology, public service, & environmental studies at the University of San Francisco. After graduating, she joined Teach for America and taught high school students with learning disabilities in East Oakland. Though she loved her experience, she left the classroom to pursue her passion of public policy, specifically education policy. Her timing wasn’t ideal, yet she is taking advantage of opportunities to mentor former students, volunteer in classrooms, and do informational interviews with her “dream” employers. She is blogging about her experience so she might provide a perspective to others who need encouragement during their unemployment or for people interested to reading about a real-life experience of someone who is unemployed. She’s written 49 cover letters, attended 7 interviews, and is constantly networking.
